Adding a customer

From the Dashboard click Add a Customer:

To send a Terms of trade you need your TermsLink – this is a URL unique to you.
When you click Add a customer, you will be able to copy your TermsLink
Send this to your customer via email, text, on your website, on your quotes – any way can.

If they are not a business (a consumer) then they will click “I am not a business”

Your customer will enter either their business name (or part of it) OR ABN.

Let’s say you wanted to add “Bulletproof My Business Pty Ltd” as a customer.
They only need to enter some of the name (Eg – “Bulletproof my”) the search will begin as soon as they start entering information.

The system then looks up the details supplied using the ABR (Australian Business Register) and displays the results.


If you are using TradePaid, we will also collect the credit card details of your customer at this point, as they sign your terms.

Your customer will now enter their contact details:

  • Email address
  • Full Name
  • Mobile number

Business and Trading names
Searching for a trading name can reveal a lot about your Customer.
You may find that the name you call a business is nothing like the legal name.
Try searching for “Subway” to illustrate this point.
